Ho Chi Minh City - An open and hopeful atmosphere was the shared impression of attendees at the important workshop hosted by the Copyright office of Vietnam (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) on t...
Under the theme “Dialogue on Mechanisms and Policies to Promote the Development of the Cultural Industry in the Music Sector,” the event brought together senior managers and representatives from leading companies, including the YeaH1 Group, to seek breakthrough solutions for this promising industry.

The dialogue was led by Mr. Trần Hoàng - Director General of the Copyright office of Vietnam (center), Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Bắc - Director of the Performing Arts Department (left), and Ms. Trần Thị Phương Lan - Head of the Culture and Arts Department under the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization (right)
The dialogue session was not only a practical activity in response to World Intellectual Property Day 2025, but also reflected the growing efforts of government agencies to stay connected with the pulse of Vietnam’s cultural and creative industries.
In a time when the cultural and entertainment sector is playing an increasingly vital role in the country’s social and economic development, it becomes essential to listen to real voices, from those who are directly producing and guiding the growth of Vietnamese music.
At the event, Mr. Trần Hoàng - Director General of the Copyright office of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Bắc – Director of the Performing Arts Department and Mrs. Trần Thị Phương Lan - Head of the Culture and Arts Department under the Central Commission for Communication and Mass Mobilization, led the conversation by highlighting key issues shaping Vietnam’s music industry.
In his keynote speech, Mr. Trần Hoàng emphasized a strategic vision: for music to truly become a strong and sustainable industry, it cannot focus only on content creation, it needs a well-rounded ecosystem. “To bring music works to the public, we need an effective system for promotion, media, and distribution”, he stated.
Mr. Hoàng highlighted the importance of strong connections between all parts of the industry, from production, performance, and technical operations to business involvement. He also stressed the need to invest in high-quality human resources, improve copyright policies, and consistently identify and nurture young talent, key elements for building “a healthy and competitive music ecosystem”.

This is also one of the practical activities within the series of events held in response to World Intellectual Property Day 2025, as stated in Decision No. 887/QĐ-BVHTTDL issued by the Ministry.
Sharing from the perspective of performance management, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Bắc openly acknowledged the considerable challenges in organizing art events today, even when featuring big-name artists. However, he also offered an optimistic outlook: “More and more localities are showing their willingness to support businesses by providing venues and infrastructure with appropriate budgets”. According to Mr. Bắc, this serves as a crucial “launchpad” that enables music events to become more professional, diverse, and aligned with international trends.
Bringing a real-world perspective from the market, Mr. Nguyễn Xuân An - Communications Director at YeaH1 Group – began the business sector’s sharing session. Based on his hands-on experience from organizing large music events with tens of thousands of people, like Anh Trai Vượt Ngàn Chông Gai and the recent Chị Đẹp Concert, Mr. Xuân An shared simple and practical ideas from a company that is directly creating and running popular cultural products.

Mr. Nguyễn Xuân An - Communications Director at YeaH1 Group
A representative from YeaH1 suggested that, to hold large-scale music events regularly and in a professional, long-term way, there should be strong teamwork between different levels and sectors. It’s important to build a clear and supportive environment for organizing events, especially when it comes to planning and approval processes. One of the biggest challenges is finding the right venue. A good venue not only helps ensure smooth operations, but also creates a chance for Vietnamese concerts to grow bigger, attract international artists to perform in Vietnam, and bring positive impact to other areas, especially tourism.
In addition, cultural events, especially large-scale ones, should be supported with clear and unified guidelines on technical aspects such as traffic planning, fire safety, security, and a streamlined permission process. Having a standard framework would help businesses plan more easily, save time on execution, and ensure quality and safety for artists, audiences, and local communities.
The event also welcomed representatives from dozens of other music companies and producers. More than just listening to feedback, the dialogue opened up positive directions for the future. Most business representatives agreed that, for the cultural industry in general and the music sector in particular, to grow strong and sustainably, there must be close collaboration between government agencies, businesses, artists, and local authorities. This connection will help build a healthy creative environment and ensure that policies are practical and effective when put into action.

The dialogue was joined by representatives from organizations and businesses involved in organizing music events and performing arts. Notably, several individuals who have made significant contributions to recent major music events were also present.
Through this dialogue, YeaH1 Group would like to sincerely thank the MOCST and the Copyright office of Vietnam for the trust and invitation to represent the business community at such a meaningful event. Having the chance to share our perspective is an opportunity for Yeah1 to reaffirm its role and mission in contributing to the development of a modern Vietnamese cultural industry, rich in identity and ready to reach the international stage.
The dialogue truly served as a strong bridge between government agencies and the business and artist community. The heartfelt contributions from YeaH1 and other participants are expected to become valuable insights that help improve policies and regulations, “fueling” the Vietnamese music industry to grow stronger, more professional, and globally competitive in the new development phase.
