Dân Việt Newspaper - Many viewers expressed regret when “Gia Dinh Haha” - a reality show about farmers and rural life - ended.
On the evening of 20/9, episode 15 of “Gia Dình Haha” aired with the final journey in the Central Highlands. Before that, the artists had journeys in the mountains and forests of Bản Liền, the seas of Sa Huỳnh, and the river lands of the Southwest, leaving unforgettable stories and memories.
Bùi Công Nam rings in a new age with family after many years
In Đắk Lắk, the members made a special trip to the hometown of singer Bùi Công Nam. The meeting quickly became a reunion day as his family gathered from everywhere. In a warm setting, over a bowl of mì Quảng prepared by his mother, emotional moments unfolded.
A surprise birthday cake was brought out, marking the first time in many years that Bùi Công Nam welcomed a new age fully with his family. There, he also shared with (S)TRONG Trọng Hiếu how Vietnamese express affection with a kiss on the cheek. (S)TRONG then said with emotion, “Nothing is more precious than being by your family’s side.”

Next, the Central Highlands picture continued through the life story of Ms. Dung, a village woman who once cherished the dream of becoming a teacher but had to set it aside due to difficult conditions. Instead, she devoted herself to Party work while shouldering family responsibilities through years of scarcity. That resilience led the members to call her an “extraordinary woman.”
To honor her, the program turned the living room into a “stage” that recreated the “Excellent Grassroots Woman” contest she had once joined. Strong messages were voiced there. Ngọc Thanh Tâm emphasized, “Women must live happily every day,” while Ms. Dung affirmed, “Central Highlands women in particular and Vietnamese women in general must be sociable, united, and develop comprehensively.”
Beyond the family story, “Gia Dình Haha” also spread a community message. With the elephant protection project, the program held an outdoor animated screening for children in the mountains, bringing simple joy and planting a love of nature. The film The Flying Elephant echoed through the village yard, turning it into a special cinema.

“Gia Dinh Haha” concludes after 15 episodes
By the fire, (S)TRONG acted as host, asking each person about their most memorable moment throughout the “Gia Dình Haha” journey. Ngọc Thanh Tâm began, “Just be yourself and you will find where you belong.”
Rhymastic recalled the sense of adventure from the plowed fields of Bản Liền, to the small house in Quảng, to the days getting used to bees in Bến Tre. Each leg was a time to break limits and open the heart.
For Duy Khánh, Bản Liền is “enjoyment,” Quảng Ngãi is “limits,” Bến Tre is “family,” and Đắk Lắk is “gratitude.” He shared, “The program is like an open diary page for everyone to witness everyone’s growing up.”
Jun Phạm shared, “At first we learned about transplanting, and in the end the rice plants headed out. I have grown a lot. The “Gia Dình Haha” journey went through four places, each with its own character. Meeting Mr. Hà and Ms. Thông felt like ‘in-laws.’ Mr. Sơn, Mr. Điệp, and Ms. Thắm were like siblings. Mr. and Mrs. Chín were like parents. And Y Xim was like a younger brother.”

The close of “Gia Dình Haha” after 15 episodes left many viewers regretful. On YouTube, viewer @MeoMuc-wv8kf commented, “I am afraid after this episode I will not have that feeling of waiting every Saturday night anymore.” Another viewer shared, “The program’s success is not only entertainment. It also promotes nature and regional culture, contributing to improving local livelihoods.” Many people called “Gia Dình Haha” “a healing dose in a hectic life.”
Gia Đình Haha has aired since 14/6 on VTV3. It is a reality show that brings famous artists like Jun Phạm, Rhymastic, Bùi Công Nam, Duy Khánh, and Ngọc Thanh Tâm to eat, live, and work together to experience daily life like locals.
On each journey, the program left a deep impression on viewers with beautiful footage and humane stories about people, specialties, and local culture.
