The program began with vibrant cultural performances by the local art troupe and students, creating a lively, warm atmosphere rich in traditional identity.
11,500 Trees Donated to Local Families
The highlight of the program was the donation of 9,000 Luc Truc bamboo trees and 2,500 Trung Khanh chestnut trees to households in Ban Lien commune, with the support of YeaH1 Group, Timo Digital Bank, the "Gia Dinh Haha" fan club, and many other charity organizations.
More than VND 600 million was mobilized to purchase 20,000 seedlings, expected to green about 26 hectares of land across 182 households in the area.

Each tree was labeled with the participant’s name, symbolizing long-term commitment and leaving a meaningful memory tied to Ban Lien. More than just planting trees, the activity carried a humanistic message: sowing life, spreading love, and fostering belief in a greener, more sustainable future.
Ms. Vang Thi Thong, a resident of Ban Lien commune, shared emotionally: “I am very grateful to the program for bringing trees to Ban Lien. In the future, these trees will cover barren hills, create sustainable livelihoods for villagers, and open new potential for tourism and economic development.” The event attracted not only local people but also tourists and young people from across the country.
From TV Show to Long-Term Community Movement
"Gia Dinh Haha" has become the starting point of a community movement, inspiring younger generations to embrace green living and appreciate local cultural values. This creates a strong foundation for Ban Lien’s People’s Committee and the Center for Communication on Natural Resources and Environment (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) to continue implementing the program “Experiential Tourism and Volunteer Planting of Luc Truc Bamboo and Trung Khanh Chestnut - "Gia Dinh Haha": For a Happy Vietnam.”

Step by step, the initiative elevates the program from a television show into a long-term, sustainable, and meaningful community journey.
Mr. Vu Minh Ly, Deputy Director of the Center for Communication on Natural Resources and Environment, said: “We are carrying out this program with three main goals. First, to restore the environment and natural landscapes at filming locations of "Gia Dinh Haha". Second, to support local people in improving incomes through livelihood crops specifically, Luc Truc bamboo shoots and Trung Khanh chestnuts, both high-value crops. Third, to raise youth awareness about environmental protection. This is also an opportunity to promote eco-tourism and community tourism in Ban Lien and other localities in a sustainable way.”
