"Gia Dinh Haha" - Final Episode: The Journey Ends, But the Radiant Memories Remain

Bui Cong Nam was perhaps the happiest member, as the final episode of the show coincided with a visit to his home and the celebration of his birthday with his family. The trip quickly turned into a reunion, with Nam’s family gathering from everywhere, creating an atmosphere that the members themselves called a “second Tet.”

Following that, by joining and supporting the elephant protection project, "Gia Dinh Haha" organized a special animated film screening for children in the region, sending the message of conserving an animal that is both beloved in the Central Highlands and precious to the world’s wildlife. On that day, the simple village yard was transformed into an outdoor cinema, reflected in the eager eyes of the children.

From the very first meeting with Y Xim and hearing him tell his story about pursuing community-based tourism, even against his parents’ wishes, the artists had nurtured the desire to become a bridge for connection and sharing between generations so that unspoken feelings could finally be expressed.

Through the conversation with Y Xim and his mother, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu also shared for the first time his feelings as a guest of "Gia Dinh Haha". Even though he had only joined for a short journey of a few days, he felt that he was loved and welcomed as a true member of the family. Admitting that he is not very fluent in Vietnamese and not someone who easily opens up, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu sometimes worried about seeming awkward, but those concerns quickly disappeared. Duy Khanh even predicted that once the show aired, (S)TRONG Trong Hieu would be even more loved for his unique charm.

The heartfelt words of Jun Pham about no longer having his mother to care for “People often say I have everything, right? But I no longer have a mother to look after anymore” became a deeply moving moment. It gave Y Xim the courage to say for the first time to his mother: “My siblings and I love you very much, you are the most wonderful person.”

The journey of the artists, experiencing and exploring the lives of working people across all regions of the country, became even more meaningful as it gave hidden emotions the chance to be expressed. Though there will still be hesitation in speaking up, as Jun Pham said, if you practice expressing a little each day, it will gradually become natural.

During and after the broadcast of Episode 15, the final episode of "Gia Dinh Haha", social media was flooded with comments from viewers expressing regret, not wanting to say goodbye to the show and its weekly Saturday evening “healing” destination. Along with that came hopes for "Gia Dinh Haha" to soon return with Season 2. There was even speculation about the appearance of new members joining the cast. However, the producers have not made any official announcement. Taking over the time slot of "Gia Dinh Haha" will be Tan Binh Toan Nang (scheduled to begin on 4 October on VTV3).
