VNExpress - Tens of thousands of fans in raincoats and under umbrellas watched the artists perform at Day 8 of Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai concert on the evening of 7 September.
The 8th concert closed the music series that has run since last year, featuring 33 Anh Tai. The outdoor stage covered thousands of square meters. From 2 P.M., fans lined up in an orderly fashion at multiple gates set up by the organizers. With rain in the forecast, many came prepared with umbrellas and raincoats. Even under heavy showers, fans said they didn’t mind getting wet they only wanted to cheer for their favorite singers.

To respond to the weather, organizers set up large tarps and handed out raincoats in some areas. The showtime was moved earlier to 6:30 P.M. instead of 7P.M. Following the plan of the previous night, the finale was set to run for more than six hours, with appearances from artists including Tu Long, Cuong Seven, Thanh Duy, Soobin, Duy Nhat, Do Hoang Hiep, Truong The Vinh, and Binz.

When the opening theme song Hoa Ca played, tens of thousands erupted in cheers, waving lightsticks in rhythm. Host MC Anh Tuan, who guided the concert, said he was moved by the fans’ spirit: “You all braved the rain to be here. Please take care of your health so you can enjoy the show,” he told the crowd.
The 6 September concert, while still energetic, had drawn criticism for being too long, lacking climactic highlights, and suffering from technical and sound issues. Learning from that, director Dinh Ha Uyen Thu shortened audience interactions and cut some behind-the-scenes videos. The sound system was also improved.
Among the crowd, actress Diem My 9x and her husband sat in the rain for over an hour before the show began. She said they came to support close friend, singer Thien Minh. “We love the show and haven’t missed a single concert. The music is nostalgic yet fresh, bringing us many emotions,” Diem My 9x shared.
