33 “Anh Tài” in Tears at the Final Concert of Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai

Tuổi Trẻ Newspaper - Amid heavy rain, all 33 Anh Tai appeared on stage one by one, bowing deeply to officially close the dazzling journey of Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai.
On the evening of 7 September, the final concert of Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai took place in Ho Chi Minh City, wrapping up a radiant summer for 33 Anh Tai and their fandom, the Gai Con.
Unlike Day 7, the Day 8 concert avoided major technical issues, even under a pouring rain. The rain became both a challenge and a spark affirming the “overcoming obstacles” spirit of the “anh tài” and the tens of thousands of fans present.
A Musical Feast as Farewell
Learning from the earlier show, Day 8 trimmed down certain performances and talk segments to keep the runtime tighter, ensuring the audience could fully enjoy the night without fatigue.
The phrase “Gai Con ve nha” (“Gai Con come home”) echoed throughout the two final nights. The brothers wove this message into songs such as Thu Hoài, Nếu Một Mai Tôi Có Bay Lên Trời, Áo Mùa Đông, Mẹ Yêu Con, and closed with Trở Về a gentle reminder that the journey had ended and the Gai Con had finally come home.

Amid emotional moments, the brothers kept the energy high with humor.
During Vợ Người Ta, Duy Khánh dressed as a cute bee, joking he was “the bee from Ben Tre of Uncle and Aunt Chín Cường from Gia Dinh Haha” who were in attendance. Soobin surprised everyone with a long, fluffy wig that he refused to take off despite the others’ pleas. Comedian Tự Long immediately quipped: “If he doesn’t remove that wig, Soobin might just become Soo Bạch Cốt Tinh.”

As in earlier concerts, the Cultural Segment remained the soul of the show, bringing audiences through a rich musical journey with Dạ Cổ Hoài Lang - Đất Phương Nam, Mưa Trên Phố Huế - Nàng Thơ Xứ Huế, Đào Liễu - Cây Trúc Xinh và Tình Ca Tây Bắc - Chiếc Khăn Piêu.
Overcome by the audience’s enthusiasm, Anh Tai Trương Thế Vinh choked up, saying this might be the last time his group Mứt Gừng performed Dạ Cổ Hoài Lang. He also thanked Meritorious Artist Hữu Quốc for accompanying them through all eight concerts.

Hữu Quốc himself shared: “Honestly, I shouldn’t even be here tonight I was just in a traffic accident. When the two vehicles collided, I prayed not to be injured because I knew Mứt Gừng was waiting, Dạ Cổ Hoài Lang was waiting, and so many fans were waiting. Thankfully, I am fine. And thanks to everyone’s love, I’ve now performed Da co hoai lang nine times.”
Closing a Brilliant Summer of Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai
The show premiered its first episode in June 2024 and ran for two months. It kicked off with its debut concert in Ho Chi Minh City, which received overwhelming support. Every following night sold out immediately after tickets opened.
That “brilliant summer” stretched over a year and came to an end with the 8th concert. All 33 Anh Tài sang Lặng together as a sincere thank-you to fans the ones who gave them strength to overcome every challenge.

Afterward, each brother bowed in turn to the audience. Thanh Duy said Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai rekindled his love for singing. Duy Khánh called it “the most beautiful dream I’ve ever had.” Thiên Minh admitted, “If this is a dream, I don’t want to wake up.”
Soobin grew emotional: “Through Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai, I gained so much. I received the love of the audience, discovered more of my own potential, and met amazing brothers who always welcomed me. 2024 and 2025 will probably be the most beautiful years of my career.”

The final concert ended with Hoa ca a song originally used to open the show, now serving as its grand finale.
On stage, the brothers wept; in the audience, tears flowed just as freely. Amid the fiery rhythm of Hỏa Ca, the 33 Anh Tai sent one last heart felt message to the fans: “Thank you for coming.”
